hi i installed modphpbb3 as my fourm and i have an issue thats bugging me people say not a big problem but still bugs me ok well most places urls would be http://www.example.com/forum/index.php well mine is more like this

http://www.example.com/forum/index.php?sid=XXXXXXXXXXXX

i know that usually happens for the first 1 or 2 pages after logging in but mine stays there the intire time and this is making so if they leave site the auto login doesnt work and i posted on another forum before this and got this reply
Darkimmortal wrote:Sounds like it's having trouble setting a session ID cookie, and is using the URL query string instead. Check your cookie settings in phpBB3's Admin Control Panel are all set correctly.

Helllo there.

After cookie pate is it just a /
Don't add anything after that.

Also make sure it isn't the full domain with a www before and just a full stop before the domain within cookie settings.

Also see

Script path:
The path where phpBB is located relative to the domain name, e.g. /phpBB3
in the other settings.

Have you purged all the cache on the forum and cleared your cookies and cache within browser after the changes you made.
Might be worth hitting 'Delete all cookies set by this board at the bottom' of index.

After looking and changing the above, you should be good to go.

Have you done all that listed above? Checked all the settings, purged the cache, refreshed templates, deleted cookies on index, and cleared cache?

You will get sid's when coming out from admin.

Are you still getting logged out?
