Problem updating from 3.0.7PL1 to 3.0.8

Hi
I've uploaded the install folder to my server and have run through the update process. When I get to "update files" I'm selecting "Download modified files archive" by .zip.
When I click "download" to get the .zip I get this error:-
The directory “./../store/” is not writable.
So I can't get the files I need to update - any help would be appreciated
