Shoutbox errors when someone uses bbcode for albums

i once done this..killed my shoutbox when i used a bbcode for an album link as you'd use for thread posts
only thing 'sanctioned' for shoutbox is URL's IMG's and smilies
this made the current set of shoutbox post disappear .. only can see post there from previous pages and hides the page of post i shoutbox withthta on post using instead of the image bbcode they used the album bbcode .. i couldnt find a way or acp for it..so a roll back of db for my forums fixed it
are there mods or etc to added that bbcode for the shoutbox so as to not let it 'error' like that?
or ways to have shoutbox not post it or post it as text vs. killing it making us roll back the db..especially losing many post because of that method if a daily or every 12 hours back up wasnt done
off topic request how does one get the smilies used here for our boards or how do you install them to it easily?
