Moving board to subdomain

I created a subdomain forum.maindomain.com

and my board is currently running under www.maindomain.com/forum

So i wondered now, if i can get the host to copy the current board to the subdomain, will everything still work? or should i first change the settings before the move?

And will the cookie domain then be forum.maindomain.com?

and does the script path stay the same as / or should that also change to something else?


Oh and I'm running a standard phpbb3.0.4 board

Yep I think you are correct on those settings if I remember rightly. I would change just prior to moving it.

I'll try it and see how it goes. If all else fails I'll eventually install and run the modded php board with portal. It's just that much less effort for me...
