i downloaded the modded files to a seperate folder on my server localhost/forum
the current forum is phpbb3.0.6 localhost/phpbb3

i did the config file as per instalation here on modphpbb3 forum

did you import the .sql file included with the package?

yes i have now, but i only see a white screen, like there is no tempelate installed, it all loks installed i will reinstall the complete modded again and have a look.

As i could not ge hold of you yesterday, i was told that when installing the portal i HAVE to have the forum installed aswell, is this true? Or can i just install the portal in new folder, the impoirt my backup from old forum?

would you be able to check, as it gives me ENDLESS time out errors , i will give you ftp details

i did not quite understand your first post, but if you downloaded the modded package from here, you have you upload all the files in to the forum you are going to use, configure the config.php file, then import the .sql, file, you cannot update an existing forum to this modded package!

i got it working 100% lots of new buttons lol, battling a little bit with some settings, but otherwise everything seems very cool.
some issues i have because im clueless
1) add flash banner in the header
2) add flash banner in the footer
3) left hand banner ads
4) right side banner add
