how can i rename board index to forum

how can i rename board ins=dex to forum
and introduce all the links of threads in its side bar? in portal
i am new but will be learning everything very fast as i am a nokia cell phones apps developer

You can change from Board index in your languages file.

No idea what you mean about the second, the portal displays the latest posts, threads, etc by default.
